I wrote these poems from a heart centred space in which I am completely vulnerable. It is only with vulnerability one can share poems and I respect any human being for sharing their deepest thoughts and words with the world in such a way. Poetry is a beautiful way to share thoughts with the world.
During a yoga class, students are especially open to taking in these words and embodying them into their own practice and life. In order to really understand a poem, I think it is important to listen openly.
These poems are written for the final resting pose — shavasanah — the moment where the body is still and the mind is soft. They are an invitation to let go, to receive, and to remember what you already know deep within.
May they find you in the quiet moments when you need them most.
